Support Our Marine Research Fleet
Help us strengthen our field capacity in South Pelion and the Aegean Sea. Merman Conservation Expeditions Ltd. is raising funds to purchase a small research boat and electric motor for coastal seal monitoring, and to secure one year of fuel and vessel insurance for shark and ray (elasmobranch) fieldwork.
Small Research Boat
€800 – €1000
For coastal surveys, wildlife monitoring, and biodiversity documentation near our base in South Pelion.
Electric Motor
€300
For quiet, low-impact navigation near monk seal caves and sensitive marine habitats.
Fuel & Insurance
€1500 – €2000
Covers one full year of operations for our larger research boat used in shark and ray surveys, including annual vessel insurance.
Every contribution directly supports our ongoing Seal Quest and Elasmobranch Monitoring projects. Your donation fuels research on Monachus monachus, sharks, rays, and other key species across Greek and UK waters.
Donate NowGoal: €2600 – €3300 | All donations go entirely toward field logistics, research equipment, and vessel operations.
What Our Donors Receive
Every supporter becomes part of our conservation mission. Your contribution is not just a donation, it is active participation in the protection of Monachus monachus, sharks, and rays in Greek and UK waters.
Donations Over €20
All donors contributing over €20 can participate with our research team for free on board our vessel during fieldwork focused on monk seals and elasmobranchs. They will also be featured in our official thank you video that highlights fieldwork and marine conservation efforts.
Companies Over €100
Corporate supporters contributing €100 or more will be acknowledged with a small logo flag on our research vessel and in thank you videos filmed during our field expeditions.
