Wildlife Services Code of Conduct

At Merman Conservation Expeditions Ltd, we are committed to the ethical and responsible conduct of wildlife services, with a primary focus on conservation. Our goal is to contribute positively to the understanding and preservation of wildlife ecosystems. This Code of Conduct outlines the principles and standards that guide our actions in the field of wildlife conservation.

1. Respect for Wildlife

b. Non-Intrusive Observation: Use non-intrusive methods for observing and studying wildlife. Maintain a safe distance and avoid direct interference with the animals.

2. Protection of  Wildlife
a. Species Protection: Respect and protect all wildlife, particularly those designated as "protected" under UK law. Comply with regulations related to endangered and threatened species, as outlined in the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
b. Habitat Preservation: Implement practices that contribute to the preservation of wildlife habitats, nesting sites, and feeding grounds, aligning with the provisions outlined in the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017.

3. Sustainable Practices
a. Environmental Impact: Strive to minimize the environmental impact of expeditions. Follow sustainable practices to ensure the preservation of ecosystems.
b. Waste Management: Implement effective waste management strategies to reduce pollution. Dispose of waste responsibly and encourage recycling practices.

4. Education and Outreach
